Stormy Run

The book also opens up the tragic world of Greyhound racing. It reveals the plight of splendid, healthy dogs condemned to death when their running days are over. And it tells of the wonderfully generous human beings who work so hard to rescue them.
Boyd Wright, the author, is a retired newspaper editor who has written four books and numerous articles and fiction short stories for national magazines. He lives in Mendham, New Jersey, with his wife, Jean, and their rescued racing Greyhound, Jamie.

"Race Cars Not Dogs" Greyhound Racing Silks:
The perfect dress- up choice for meet and greets, parades or a walk in the neighborhood. These custom designed, individually made silks are patterned after racing silks; however, the GPL version allows you and your greyhound to make a subtle statement regarding your view of dog racing. The "Race Cars, Not Dogs" message is embroidered on each side of the silk with "Greyhound Protection League" embroidered in smaller letters underneath.
The lustrous satin polyester outside is reinforced with a comfortable, color coordinated 100% cotton lining. The silk slips on easily over your greyhound’s head. Fabric-covered elastic in the front allows your dog comfort and freedom of movement. Adjustable snaps underneath the garment provide some sizing flexibility.
Silks are available in two colors: red and flax.
* Sizes are: Medium for a 52 to 65 (+/-) pound greyhound
Large for a 66 to 79 (+/-) pound greyhound
X-Large for an 80 to 95 (+/-) pound greyhound
* Sizes are a general guideline and may vary depending on the conformation of your greyhound.
